$50,000 to $55,000 annually As part of the InfoPeel team, the Specialist will supportclients requiring assistance or information related to early years, childcare,children and youth with special needs and respite supports. WHAT THIS POSITION HAS TO OFFER: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to makean impact and gain unique work experience by: supportingfamilies and youth with special needs in setting and reaching individualgoals completingintakes to variety of community programs to ensure families are supportedappropriately transferfiles through centralized database to partner agencies workingon a variety of databases that promote information and resources tofamilies and the community at large providingthe community with any information or resources they may require to meettheir needs maintainingpositive relationships with new and existing partner agencies planning,organizing and facilitating workshops and community outreach opportunities creatingand implementing new creative projects that support communitypartnerships beingexposed to diversity in working across a variety of programs within theInfoPeel department’s portfolio including but not limited to; SystemNavigation, Childcare information, Kids Pathways Peel, ServiceCoordination, SNIP,

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: The successful candidate will: 3 years of related work experience in two or moreareas including preschool, school age, licensed home child care and/orearly years services is an asset Registered EarlyChildhood Educator is a requirement Have a minimum of a diploma or degree in socialservices, human services, child and youth, social work, psychology orrelated field. Registration with the applicable college considered anasset Minimum 3 years experience in related community andprograms be strongly versed on special needs and developmentalservices within the Peel Region be capable of working with a variety of databasesi.e. client and information based be a visionary thinker and demonstrate innovativepractices possess knowledge of Information and ReferralServices (I&R;) and AIRS Standards (an asset)
