The Clinical Interventionist is a vital member of the Provincial Preschool Autism Services, working closely with families of young children diagnosed with autism. This role involves conducting assessments, facilitating goal-setting discussions, and developing individualized intervention programs. Collaboration with an interprofessional team ensures that effective strategies are implemented, while continuous training and support are provided to families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments and facilitate family goal setting • Create individualized intervention plans for children • Oversee and guide Program Implementers during intervention • Engage in family education and skills training • Collaborate within an interprofessional team workplace
Requirements: • Master’s degree in psychology, therapy, or related fields • Two years of recent experience with young children • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required • Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license needed • Committed to family-centered practices and safety
