Your role and responsibilities As an Agentic AI Engineer Intern at IBM, you'll work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate business requirements into the design, development and evaluation of production-grade AI agents on the Microsoft stack. You will participate in many aspects of the development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, evaluation, and support. You will build and test AI agents using Microsoft Foundry Agent Service, the Microsoft Agent Framework and Semantic Kernel; implement retrieval-augmented generation pipelines over enterprise content with Azure AI Search; expose and consume tools through Model Context Protocol servers; and contribute to multi-agent orchestration patterns including planner/worker, supervisor, and human-in-the-loop approval flows. You also could become a contributor within Open-Source communities across multiple disciplines.
