A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers Junior, Intermediate and Senior Qualifications Special Education Specialist or (Part 2 with evidence of working toward Specialist) Position Criteria:

Demonstrate robust evidence of trauma informed practices within an educational setting and working with students with trauma considered an asset.



Demonstrate evidence of working with a multi-faceted team supporting students in their school readiness skills along with behaviour management and therapeutic programming Demonstrate experience with Plans of Care, Behaviour Management Plan and transition plans. Proven ability supporting students with high behavioural needs and evidence of mindfulness strategies Demonstrate strong evidence of proven ability utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment Strategies The Near North District School Board is committed to supporting an inclusive and accessible environment.Accessibility standards address issues that pose major barriers for people with disabilities (i.e. physical barrier, information or communication barrier, etc.)
