Drive impactful youth-led initiatives as the Lead Youth Innovation at the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages in Ottawa. This role focuses on innovation, community connections, and the revitalization of Indigenous languages.
In this full time position, you will support Indigenous youth through strategic leadership and community engagement. Reporting to the Connection Hub Manager, you'll amplify youth perspectives while fostering partnerships and collaboration. You will design, implement, and assess innovative programs that strengthen language revitalization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop youth-led initiatives in line with strategic goals • Build partnerships with Indigenous youth and organizations • Establish a youth advisory council for collective input • Create culturally inclusive platforms for youth collaboration • Measure the effectiveness of youth-led projects
Requirements: • Degree in Indigenous studies or related discipline • 3-5 years of experience engaging with Indigenous communities • Skills in stakeholder engagement and outreach • Strong understanding of Indigenous language issues • Proficient in communication and project management
