In this full-time position, you will report to the Director of Energy and Sustainability and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of instrumentation at the UNB Central Heating Plant. Your role will include troubleshooting PLC systems, maintaining the data historian server, and performing combustion tests. You will need to maintain safety while occasionally working at heights and in confined spaces.
Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, repair,
and calibrate instrumentation and controls • Develop and program effective boiler control strategies • Assist in maintaining environmental monitoring equipment • Participate in construction and repairs of control systems • Provide detailed estimates for labor and materials
Requirements: • Current certification as a Journeyperson Industrial Instrument Mechanic • At least 6 years of relevant experience in steam plant operations • Knowledgeable in blueprints and technical sketches • Professional interaction with various stakeholders • Ability to work safely in challenging conditions
