Job Overview

We are a residential real estate appraisal firm seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Appraiser Assistant / Report Writer to support our appraisal operations.

This role focuses on preparing residential appraisal reports, including market research, data verification, and writing/ summarizing comments. The successful candidate will work closely with the principal appraiser, who will conduct property inspections and provide field notes, photos, and sketches.

Full training will be provided. This position is ideal for someone interested in real estate, appraisal, or analysis and looking to build long-term experience in the appraisal industry.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare residential appraisal reports based on inspection notes and market research
Accurately complete report sections including: Legal descriptions, Lot sizes, Room counts, zoning and finishes based on available data
Research and select appropriate comparable sales and listings using TRREB / MLS
Verify sales data, property details, and market information and maintain accuracy
Write clear,



concise, and skilled narrative comments and summaries
Upload, label, and organize photos into the reports
Ensure reports are error-free, consistent, and completed within deadlines
Maintain confidentiality and comply with appraisal standards and lender requirements

Required Skills & Attributes
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Robust written communication skills (transparent summaries and comments)
Ability to work independently and learn quickly
Comfortable handling high-volume workloads and tight deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to consistency
Ability to follow instructions precisely and apply feedback
Analytical mindset with good judgment when reviewing data
Self-motivated and reliable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
