Their expertise includes crafting stair systems, railings, platforms, mezzanines, and bespoke metal assemblies to meet diverse client needs.
Our client is looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator (Fitter) to join their team. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering a steady workflow and a wide range of fabrication projects—no repetitive production-line tasks.

Responsibilities
Fit, lay out, cut, and assemble structural steel and miscellaneous metals with precision.
Fabricate stairs, railings, platforms, mezzanines, and custom metal assemblies.
Interpret and work directly from fabrication drawings and blueprints.
Perform welding using GMAW/FCAW processes (TIG welding skills are considered an asset).
Operate a variety of shop equipment, including ironworkers, press brakes, shears, plasma cutters, and oxy-fuel systems.
Safely move and position materials using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Conduct thorough quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, including structural or miscellaneous metals.
Robust blueprint reading and fitting skills.
Ability to fabricate accurately from drawings.
Experience welding steel assemblies.
Reliable transportation or ability to commute to Kitchener, Ontario.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
CWB certification an asset.
Experience with TIG welding techniques.
