Position Summary

The Paralegal Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to adult learners in accordance with Ontario educational and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will support students through practical, career-oriented legal education and contribute to a positive academic environment.

Responsibilities
Deliver classroom and/or online instruction in paralegal courses
Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and assessments
Evaluate student performance and provide academic support
Maintain attendance, grading, and academic records
Ensure compliance with Akshar Academy policies and LSO standards
Support students in preparation for professional practice and licensing requirements
Participate in curriculum updates and academic meetings when required





Minimum Qualifications
Paralegal or Lawyer in valuable standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)
Minimum 3 years of demonstrable industry/work experience
At least 1 year of teaching experience
Experience teaching adult learners preferred
Teaching of Adults Certificate considered a robust asset
Robust communication and classroom management skills
Comfortable with online teaching platforms and LMS systems

Preferred Skills
Experience in Ontario legal procedures and tribunal matters
Ability to teach in hybrid or online environments
Professional, organized, and student-focused approach
