Big Hearts Home Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Health Care Assistant (HCA) to work in a care facility in Surrey, BC.

We are looking for someone with robust Long-Term Care/facility experience who can provide safe, respectful, and skilled care to residents.

MUST HAVE:
HCA registered in BC
1+ year of Long-Term Care / Facility experience
Medication Administration Certificate
First Aid/CPR Certificate
Valid BC Driver’s Licence
Reliable vehicle
Recent Criminal Record Check
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and compassionate
Clear Criminal Record Check

JOB DUTIES:
Assist residents with AM care and personal care
Assist with ADLs, mobility, transfers, and walking
Escort residents to the dining room, salon, activities, and exercise programs
Assist residents with meals
Provide companionship and safety checks
Assist with catheter bag drainage and changes
Assist with medication-related duties as directed by the nurse and within your scope
Monitor residents and report any changes or concerns to the nurse
Complete resident documentation and care notes
Work closely with HCAs, nurses,



and the facility team
Follow all facility policies and resident care plans
