Position Details

Role Requirements
Current registration in the Extended Class (NP-Adult) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Baccalaureate in Nursing (BScN) and a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MScN or MN) required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, but recent graduates from NP programs are also encouraged to apply.
Current BCLS certification and full vaccination against COVID-19.
Member of RNAO with qualified liability insurance.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including health history and physical examinations.
Provide wellness care, health screening, and education.




Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, and manage chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians as needed.
Utilize evidence-based practices to assess, diagnose, order, interpret medical tests, prescribe medications, and collaborate in patient care.
Document care in Electronic Medical Records and ensure accurate, concise, and confidential record-keeping.
Facilitate continuity of care by collaborating with healthcare teams, including specialists.

Qualifications and Skills
Strong background in research with a history of publication is highly desirable.
Knowledge of and exposure to issues faced by regional and rural medical education.
Exceptional communication, management, and problem-solving skills.
