Our client is looking for a Dispatch Support Specialist to join their team. This role is based in their Saanichton office and involves coordinating logistics, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations for bin deliveries, pickups, and routed services.

Responsibilities
Respond to customer calls and emails, addressing inquiries and finalizing sales.
Schedule and coordinate bin deliveries, exchanges, pickups, and live loads for residential and commercial clients.
Dispatch trucks using phone, dispatch software, and two-way radio systems.
Collaborate with the Lead Dispatcher to plan and prioritize daily schedules.
Communicate schedules and driver assignments clearly and efficiently.
Adjust driver schedules for special requests, absences, or last-minute changes.




Work with supervisors to ensure organized morning preparations for trucks and dispatch.
Support drivers with transportation software and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Ensure driver paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Review and audit completed jobs to close routes efficiently.
Provide support to the Logistics/Transportation Manager and other team members as needed.

Qualifications
Robust communication and customer service skills.
Able to use phones, dispatch software, and two-way radios.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules or occasional travel to other locations.
Robust organizational skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in logistics or customer service an asset.
