Acuity Eye Care is a patient-focused, growth-oriented optometry clinic committed to delivering exceptional eye care and an outstanding patient experience. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated, detail oriented Optician/Optical Assistant to join our team.

Position Overview
The Optician plays a key role in ensuring a seamless doctor-to-optical handoff while delivering an elevated eyewear experience. This individual will be responsible for frame styling, lens recommendations, fittings, adjustments, troubleshooting, and supporting overall optical sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional patient service from doctor handoff to final dispense
Assist patients with frame selection based on prescription, lifestyle, and budget
Educate on lens designs, coatings, and upgrades
Perform accurate measurements (PD, heights, etc.)
Adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear
Ensure proper documentation and order accuracy
Follow up with patients on eyewear orders and pickups
Maintain organized, clean, and visually appealing optical displays
Support clinic production goals and contribute to team success
Qualifications
Licensed Optician in Alberta (preferred) or Optical experience required
Strong knowledge of lens products and coatings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Sales confidence with a patient-first approach
Ability to work in a quick-paced workplace
Experience with EMR systems considered an asset
