Veterinary Receptionist for Ottawa Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital

The position includes weekend and statutory holidays as part of a rotating schedule.

The Ottawa Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital (OAESH) is a veterinarian-owned, 24-hour emergency and specialty facility. We serve Ottawa, Gatineau, and the surrounding area. We welcome animal emergency transfers and walk-in patients from any clinic in the region. Specialty services include Dentistry, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology & Ophthalmology.

We are searching for candidates who:
Have experience as a veterinary receptionist
Have a robust ability to multitask
Show outstanding attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Superior customer service and administration skills
Maintain qualified demeanor at all times
Ability to show empathy and compassion in stressful & emotional situations is paramount

The full time position (40 hours/week). You must be available to work day, evening and 1 weekend on 2 shifts.

Preferred skills:
Bilingual
1 year of veterinary clinic or customer service experience
