BaKeTu Cakery is a dessert shop in Markham making fresh cream cakes and custom orders. We're looking for a reliable kitchen helper to join us on weekends.

No baking experience needed. If you're clean, quick on your feet, we'll train you on everything else.

What you'll be doing
Washing, peeling and slicing fruit for cake decoration
Weighing and prepping ingredients (flour, sugar, cream, syrups)
Boxing and labelling finished cakes for pickup and delivery
Dishwashing and keeping work stations clean and sanitized
End-of-shift cleaning and restocking
Helping hand off pickup orders at the counter when it gets busy

What we're looking for
Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday (fixed weekend schedule)
Comfortable standing for most of the shift and lifting up to 25 lbs
Clean and tidy
Takes the work seriously and follows through on what you're given




Shows up on time and lets us know in advance if plans change
Food Handler Certificate is a plus
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Mandarin or Cantonese an asset
