Possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field from a community college or university. Alternatively, you may be currently enrolled in such a program or have equivalent experience or be willing to obtain the necessary degree
Assisting in planning and producing activities that enrich the physical, cognitive, social and spiritual lives of residents
Monitoring visits for residents with their family and friends
Encouraging and inspiring residents’ participation in small and large group activities and programs
Serving as a positive presence in the lives of residents and their families
Knowledge for RAI MDS would be beneficial
Experience in working with Seniors
Genuine caring for and interest in the elderly
Willing to work all shifts in the department
Pay: $20.73-$21.67 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
