We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team as an on-call casual employee starting in October, with opportunities to continue into January.
Responsibilities
Assist ECEs with providing a protected, caring, and positive environment for children.
Support children during daily activities, play, meals, outdoor time, and routines.
Help set up and clean activity areas and maintain a clean and protected classroom.
Encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Follow the centre’s health, safety, and supervision policies.
Communicate respectfully with children, families, and team members.
Be available to cover staff absences and occasional shifts as needed.
Qualifications
ECEA certification in British Columbia, or currently eligible/working toward certification.
Previous experience working with young children is an asset.
Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
Reliable, responsible, patient, and caring.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Transparent criminal record check as required.
