Hansen Industries is a metal fabricating manufacturer that specializes in Sheet Metal, Machining and Stamping solutions in Western Canada and Northwestern USA and has been around since 1976. We are seeking a permanent, full-time CAD Technologist/Programmer specializing in sheet metal manufacturing and process improvement to join our dynamic team.
Key Duties:
Deliver 2D/3D drawings and models to the manufacturing team, customers and suppliers
Generate drawings and NC code for sheet metal parts to be cut on the laser/punch presses
Ability to analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration
Creation of component, assembly drawings and Bill of materials
Send files to operators and work according to schedule
Maintain efficient storage of files (computer) for customer programs
Play an active role in continuous improvement activities
Thorough understanding and efficiency with drafting standards
Qualifications & requirements:
Sheet metal processing knowledge and experience required
Experience with Trumpf, Amada, or Mitsubishi CNC equipment preferred
Experience with programming using Trumpf TruTops and MetaCAM preferred
SolidWorks: 1 year (preferred)
Sheet metal CAM programming: 1 year (preferred)
Working Hours:
8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Monday to Friday, may be asked to work overtime
