Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid mechanical background and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work with a variety of machinery, including excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, packers, track loaders, rock trucks and farm tractors.

Duties
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues.
Perform maintenance and repairs on John Deere, Cat, Komatsu, Volvo.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs.
Assemble and disassemble machinery as needed for maintenance or repair purposes.
Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating heavy machinery.
Good attitude is essential.

Experience




Previous mechanic experience is essential; dealership experience is a plus.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices.
Proficiency in welding techniques and mechanical assembly is preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical systems related to heavy equipment repair.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $46.00-$52.00 per hour
