We're a new location inside the Carleton Place Regional Health Hub, with an optometrist clinic on site weekly. The role is dispensing-focused: measurements, fittings, lens consultation and patient care. Store management, ordering and reporting are handled separately. Full time or part-time, with flexibility for the right person.
What you'll do
Interpret prescriptions and dispense eyewear and contact lenses
Take all measurements required for prescription eyewear
Fit, adjust and repair frames
Advise patients on lens options, coatings and frame selection
Verify finished eyewear against prescription and handle remakes
Support insurance and direct billing submissions
Provide technical guidance to our optical staff
What you need
Current registration with the College of Opticians of Ontario, in good standing
Assets: contact lens fitting certification, refracting licence, direct billing experience.

$30.00 to $34.00 per hour, based on experience
