Meridian Surveys is hiring Survey Assistants to join our field crews working across Western Canada. This is a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the outdoors, travelling, working with equipment, and being part of a hardworking team.
Founded in 1966, Meridian Surveys is a leading survey company serving the resource, pipeline, construction, and municipal sectors with offices throughout Western Canada.
What You’ll Do
Assist Survey Crew Chiefs in the field
Work outdoors in bush, construction, and remote environments
Operate ATVs and assist with field operations
Use tools such as sledges and shovels for monument placement
Maintain survey equipment, tools, and vehicles
Follow company safety procedures and protocols
Potential for travel and shift work
What We’re Looking For
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Willingness to travel and work away from home for extended periods
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Interest in surveying, geomatics, or construction work
Assets (Not Required)
ATV or snowmobile experience
First Aid, H2S, or CSTS certifications
Previous outdoor, construction, or survey experience
Geomatics or surveying education
Important Information
This position involves:
Long days and occasional weekend work
Pipeline applicants can expect extended time away from home depending on project requirements
Physical outdoor work in varying terrain and weather conditions
Drug and alcohol testing when required
