Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.
Description
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.
Help us start Run Day on the right foot! Our Parking and Arrival Support team helps participants feel welcomed and makes arriving at the event as smooth and organized as possible.
Tasks for this role may include:
Welcome participants and guests as they arrive at the event site
Direct vehicles to designated parking areas
Help participants locate event entrances and key areas
Support secure and productive traffic flow
Help set up barricades and designated traffic-control areas when required
Answer general parking and arrival questions
Some volunteers may transition to Route Support later in the morning
Help direct and cheer on participants along the route if assigned
Be comfortable standing and working outdoors for the duration of the shift
Must be 19+
Bring a friendly,
confident and helpful attitude and be ready to welcome participants with a smile!
