Full Job Description

River Crest Estates Ltd. is seeking a dependable Finished Carpenter Assistant to support daily construction activities on a new 55+ Active Living Community. This role suits someone with basic finish carpentry experience who enjoys hands‑on work, painting, sanding, and keeping the jobsite clean and organized.

Responsibilities
General cleanup and organization of the construction site
Assist carpenters and installers with daily tasks
Painting, sanding, and surface preparation
Use basic carpentry tools (hammer, tape measure, square, utility knife, etc.)
Carry materials, load/unload deliveries, and support site workflow
Follow supervisor direction and work cooperatively with the team
Maintain professional conduct when owners or shareholders are present

Qualifications
Basic finish carpentry experience
Comfortable with painting, sanding,



and basic carpentry tools
Able to use small hand tools and basic power tools safely
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours
Willing to learn current skills and installation methods
Robust work ethic, positive attitude, and honesty in daily tasks

Additional Skills Are an Asset

(Not required)
Finish carpentry (baseboards, trim, doors)
Measuring and layout
Working with hardwoods or specialty materials
Specialty architectural finishes
Brad nailer operation

Safety Requirements
Knowledge of basic PPE (glasses, gloves, boots, hearing protection)
Understanding of safe tool operation
Working at Heights training is an asset

Work Environment

This project is part of a 55+ Active Living Community, where cleanliness, safety, good workmanship, and honesty are essential. You’ll work in a supportive setting and gain hands‑on experience with skilled installers.

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
