Canadian Heat Exchangers is seeking a skilled HSE Advisor to join us on our next turnaround. We are currently crewing up for our September turnaround project located in the Dawson Creek area. Positions for both Day and Night shift are available. Travel will be required, and LOA will apply.
Responsibilities
Field Leadership: Direct site safety operations during high-pressure shutdown windows, ensuring 100% compliance with corporate and client regulations.
Program Management: Manage, audit, and continually improve the company’s Health, Safety, and Workplace (HSE) manual and COR management systems.
Incident Investigation: Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and implement effective corrective actions.
Workforce Onboarding & Compliance: Oversee safety orientation protocols, safety ticket compliance verification, and lead daily toolbox/pre-job safety meetings.
Requirements
Minimum NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer)
5+ years of dedicated safety leadership experience in industrial turnarounds, oil & gas facilities, or heavy mechanical operations (specifically involving heat exchangers and pressure piping).
Expert knowledge of provincial OHS regulations, COR audit procedures, and excellent competency in technical report writing and data management.
Solid communication skills with the ability to confidently enforce safety standards with field supervisors, craft workers, and corporate clients alike.
