Precision Directional Drilling Inc. is seeking a General Construction Labourer to join our team. Experience with utilty installation, specifically service plowing is an asset.
The company is based out of Zurich, ON, with a report to address also in Wroxeter, ON but work area spans across Southwestern Ontario.
Responsibilities:
Operate all tools and heavy equipment required to install conduits/pipes in the ground independently and safely
Ensure that all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored.
Ensure all equipment is running as it should and report any maintenance/issues to the Maintenance Department
Cleaning and maintenance of all heavy equipment and job site equipment.
Load/unload and transport materials on trucks and trailers.
Communicate effectively with the site foreman
Complete all required payperwork daily
Complete all duties safely and efficiently in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
Follow all rules and regulations in accordance with the CVOR
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks such as digging coupling/daylighting pits
Ability to work in confined areas
Work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment as a team member
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in a rapid paced environment around excavators and other heavy equipment.
Willingness to learn
Posses a Valid Ontario Class G License with a clean record(Restricted A license preferred)
Good time management skills with ability to prioritize work tasks in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
Experience operating construction equipment is an asset
Ability to follow instruction in both oral and written form from Management and complete requested tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports and perform other administrative tasks such as filing paperwork or correspondence.
