Support young individuals' mental health as a Mental Health Practitioner working collaboratively with SABP. Your role involves assessments, interventions, and working closely with various support services.
In this position, you'll engage with young people facing mental health challenges and behavioral needs. You'll assess individual situations and implement goal-based interventions while adhering to SABP policies. Your responsibilities will also include outreach work, participating in case conferences, and liaising with families and schools to provide consistent advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess mental health and behavioral needs of young people
Provide goal-based interventions and support
Collaborate with housing, education,
and substance misuse services
Conduct risk assessments and document notes accurately
Engage in outreach work across diverse settings
Requirements:
Experience in mental health or related fields
Solid relationship-building skills with vulnerable populations
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the Children’s Act
Current driving license and access to a car
IT skills for accurate documentation
