The Okanagan Indian Band is seeking a compassionate individual for a one-year term as a Supported Child Development Worker. This role emphasizes collaboration with parents to create a nurturing setting while adhering to Childcare Practitioner Occupational Standards. Key responsibilities include planning tailored programs, guiding staff on special needs, and maintaining records for assigned children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and implementing childcare programs
• Create a secure and secure setting for children
• Support children with individual and group interactions
• Maintain records for children with special needs
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress
Requirements:
• Minimum of 19 years of age
• Early Childhood Education or related certification preferred
• Current First Aid Certificate required
• Experience with children under six years of age
• Clean criminal records check with vulnerable sector clearance
