Two (2) casual RPN prospects are available in the Operating Room at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
This position is unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Current BCLS certification
Successful completion of an Accredited Operating Room Course/Certification
Minimum 2 years experience working in the Operating Room/Day Surgery and Endoscopy
Must be available to take on call/ standby shifts as scheduled and meet the call back requirements
IV Therapy Course (or up to scope)
Cardiac Monitoring / Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
Demonstrated Physical Assessment skills
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Must demonstrate success working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
Demonstrated lifelong learner
Must demonstrate successfully working in a team setting
Satisfactory performance and attendance required
Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
HOURS:
Standard Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Day Surgery hours: Monday - Friday as required and a regular monthly minimum rotation of stand by including call backs.
Must be able to respond to on call within a specified timeframe.
SALARY:
$37.69 to $39.17 per hour
