Join the University of Toronto Libraries as an Overnight Building Patrol member, safeguarding a vital academic hub. Your role focuses on security, first aid provision, and operational safety.
As part of the Library Patrol Team, you will work from 11 PM to 7 AM or 8 AM, Sunday to Thursday, during the academic season. Responsibilities include monitoring library access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining secure conditions. This position provides a unique prospect to contribute to a secure and welcoming setting for library users.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure libraries are opened and closed promptly
• Control access at library entrances
• Document safety inspections and incidents
• Administer first aid when necessary
• Perform regular patrols and respond swiftly to alerts
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Valid Security Guard Licence needed
• Certification in First Aid and CPR-C
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
