Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain
About the Role
We are looking for a Buyer to join a agile procurement team supporting purchasing activities, supplier performance, and supply continuity within a complex manufacturing setting. The role offers exposure to the full procurement cycle, from purchase order creation and supplier follow-up to delivery management, discrepancy resolution, and sourcing support.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure materials and components are available when needed.
Main Responsibilities
Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including PO creation, release, updates, and follow-up through final delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers to obtain order acknowledgements, confirm commitment dates, and monitor on-time delivery performance.
Proactively expedite late deliveries, shortages, and past-due orders while identifying and escalating potential supply risks.
Maintain accurate procurement information in the ERP system, including quantities, pricing, delivery dates, and supplier commitments.
Investigate and resolve purchase order, receiving, and invoice discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
Support RFQ and sourcing activities while working closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to ensure supply continuity and operational requirements are met.
Qualifications
DEC/Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; a High School Diploma may be considered for Buyer/Expeditor-level positions.
Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, expediting, or supply chain operations, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Robust understanding of purchase orders, supplier follow-up, delivery management, expediting, and supply continuity.
Experience working with ERP systems and maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite per week
