have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
be committed to student-centered learning
understand and correctly use formative/summative assessment
practise effective differentiated learning strategies to ensure learning
be team-oriented and committed to building relationships with students, parents, staff
possess an educational background and professional experience that reflect an understanding of Indigenous perspectives,



histories and cultures incorporate successful strategies from their qualified background to provide effective, supportive teaching practices for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) learners with a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment where all students experience a strong sense of belonging
