Job: Excavator OperatorLocation: GTA, Ontario (multiple work sites)Pay: $30.00 per hour (bi-weekly pay)Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PMJob OverviewWe are hiring an experienced Excavator Operator / Site Foreman for a construction company specializing in residential pool removals and related excavation work.This is a hands-on role for an experienced excavator operator who can safely operate equipment while also taking responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the crew on site. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at different job sites throughout the GTA and driving to locations as required.ResponsibilitiesOperate an excavator safely and efficiently for pool removal, excavation, demolition and related construction workAct as the Foreman on site, overseeing the crew and coordinating daily site activitiesAssign tasks and provide direction to crew members to keep work progressing safely and efficientlyMonitor the work site and ensure tasks are completed according to instructionsCommunicate with the Owner regarding site requirements, materials and job progressOrder materials when requested by the OwnerEnsure materials are only ordered after receiving confirmation from the OwnerPerform daily equipment and site checks and report any issuesMaintain a secure,
clean and organized work siteFollow all applicable safety procedures and company requirementsAssist with general construction and site duties when requiredRequirementsMinimum 3-4 years of experience operating an excavator in a construction environmentPrevious experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand or Site Supervisor is strongly preferredAbility to safely operate an excavator around residential properties and confined work areasStrong understanding of construction site safety and proceduresAbility to lead and direct a small crewGood communication and organizational skillsValid driver's licence and reliable transportationComfortable driving to different job sites throughout the GTAMust be dependable and comfortable working Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PMAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsPrevious experience with pool removals, demolition, excavation or residential construction is an assetJob LocationsWork will take place at different sites throughout the GTA, including:EtobicokeMississaugaBramptonOakvilleBurlingtonMiltonOshawaOther areas throughout the GTA as requiredIf you are an experienced excavator operator who can confidently lead a crew and take ownership of day-to-day site operations, we would like to hear from you.
