Lead laboratory operations at XPS, Glencore Canada Corporation as a Metallurgical Laboratory Coordinator based in Falconbridge, Ontario. Ensure safety and efficiency in metallurgical processes while mentoring your team.
In this on-site role, you will support Group Project Managers and a dedicated team of Technicians. Your mission is to maintain safety standards, oversee lab operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will manage laboratory inventory, coordinate work schedules, and ensure proper training for all Technicians involved in metallurgical sample processing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a secure and compliant work environment • Review and evaluate all current SOPs and protocols • Lead the QA/QC efforts within the lab • Manage sample receiving, storage, and tracking • Coordinate schedules for laboratory Technicians
Requirements: • Degree in Chemistry or Extractive Metallurgy • 3+ years of supervisory experience • Experience in an industrial or mining setting • Familiarity with lab information management systems • Strong safety mindset and commercial spirit
