Role Overview

The Junior Accountant role offers the opportunity to develop full-cycle accounting skills with broad exposure across the accounting function. As part of a dynamic team, you will have opportunities for future growth while working closely with and providing support to estimators, project managers, and senior leadership. This is an in-person role based in our Etobicoke office.

Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable, collections, and customer payments.
Process accounts payable, prepare payment runs, and maintain vendor records.




Process employee expenses and credit card statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
Assist with other processes such as account reconciliations, payroll, and analysis as needed.
Participate in process improvement and training initiatives.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least two years of related experience.
CPA designation or active pursuit is an asset.
Experience working at a construction company and/or using Premier Construction Software is an asset.
Detail oriented, thorough, and highly organized. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Continuous improvement mindset and comfortable learning current software.
