Job Summary: The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist will lead the testing strategy and execution for the Health System Insights Portal enhancement initiative.

This role focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery of complex web applications and APIs by developing test plans, executing test cases, and collaborating closely with software engineers and business analysts throughout the system development lifecycle.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and test plans.

Select appropriate testing tools for various testing environments.

Plan and organize testing efforts for GUI and non-GUI systems, including system integration, connectivity/error handling, stress, and user acceptance testing.

Create and execute detailed test cases against different system components.

Collaborate with software engineers and business analysts in system analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support.

Manage defect tracking and resolution within assigned areas.

Design and estimate QA-related tasks within Microsoft Dev

Ops.

Required Skills & Certifications: 8 to 10 years hands-on experience testing Web Applications, specifically with .NET technologies.



3+ years experience testing REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools. 3+ years experience using Microsoft Dev

Ops Test Plans. 3+ years experience writing SQL queries.

Preferred Skills & Certifications: Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.

Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related standards.

Experience with automated testing tools.

Experience supporting and participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.

Familiarity with all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Special Considerations: Must be able to manage testing activities in both GUI and non-GUI environments.

Experience working in a public sector setting is preferred.

Defect management responsibility for owned areas.

Scheduling: Work schedule includes 2 days per week onsite, with days at manager''s discretion.
