Overview: Our client in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking for a Project Manager resource for an initial 5 mth contract to start with extensions, reference VSR-NRA-0003.
The position can be remote anywhere in Canada.
What you will be doing: Plan, organize and manage some or all aspects of a project, including project initiation, planning, execution and closure.
Projects will vary in complexity, duration, approach and technology Budget development, tracking, and variance reporting Resource planning and assignment Project tracking and status reporting Responsible for coordinating reports and documentation that support the collection of and review of initiatives within the portfolio Issue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalation Project change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and schedule Quality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance Risk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plans Communication management, including communication planning and execution of the plan Deliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used What you must have: Minimum 15 (fifteen) years of experiencing in a project management role managing Information Technology projects.
Minimum 5 (five) years experience preparing budgets for projects.
Valid PMP certification and / or Prince2 Practitioner certification considered an asset.
Expertise in project lifecycles and project planning including resource, cost, and schedule estimation.
Experience assisting with the preparation of business cases for IT projects.
Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
Strong facilitation skills.
Strong analysis and problem resolution skills.
Strong communication skills - oral, written and presentation.
Experience planning and managing projects in a Public Sector organization is an asset.
Experience implementing solutions in a gaming (casino) workplace is an asset.
Experience managing the implementation of custom developed apps is an asset. A Canadian based federal security clearance is considered an asset Must have Windows based computer with standard Windows applications.
Computer must be configured for MS Teams meetings and capable of connecting to MBLLs Microsoft environment and applications such as Share
Point, Teams and One
Drive.
This engagement is expected to have standard version of Microsoft Project 2024 installed on own Windows-based computer.
Must have own MS Visio license.
