CORE Modular Inc., a Calgary-based remote modular structure construction company with projects across Canada, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter. This role requires a solid understanding of modular construction and the ability to travel to various project sites.
Responsibilities:
Installation, troubleshooting, winterization, and dismantling of plumbing systems for diverse modular structures (office complexes, kitchens, camps, etc.)
Installation, troubleshooting, and dismantling of gas systems including threading gas line, connecting gas flex hoses, pressure testing and furnaces
Installation and troubleshooting of self-regulating heat trace
Interpretation of blueprints to understand project requirements
Creating accurate material take offs
Collaboration with other trades as needed (e.g., leveling units, building steps and landings interior/exterior finishing,
electrical support)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Completion of Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
Cleaning and detailing of units
Adherence to all safety protocols
Qualifications:
Previous experience in modular construction
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
Skill in using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Solid attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy objects
Additional Information:
This position involves shift work (21 days on, 7 days off) with 10-hour workdays.
Travel to project sites is required.
Additional qualifications may be necessary based on specific job requirements.
