Assembler – The assembler position focuses on documentation, assembly, electrical test, machine test, and inspection. Each assembler may be required to work on any single phase of operations at a given time.
Responsibilities
Cleaning and preparation of parts by simple chemical cleaning procedures;
Mounting of product with epoxy and solder;
Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder;
Hand marking of devices;
Test components and assemblies once finished;
Sub-assembly fabrication to be used on final product;
Fibre optic attachment;
Use the SAP system to make certain transactions;
Assisting the Team Leader in training new employees;
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Possess a High School Diploma;
Have experience in a manufacturing environment;
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
Valuable organizational skills;
Experience with computer data entry (an asset);
Good manual dexterity and visual acuity;
Bilingualism (French and English) an asset.
