In this part-time role within the Nair General Research Department, you will engage in both clinical and research activities related to sputum processing. Teaming with another part-time technologist, you will report to Professor Parameswaran Nair, furthering the impact of essential health studies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and analyze sputum for clinical respirology
• Conduct special staining procedures for research needs
• Operate cell counters to deliver exact lab results
• Coordinate laboratory schedules and monitor staff performance
• Engage in research projects and present findings
Requirements:
• MLT certification with hematology focus
• Five years' experience in cytotechnology required
• Certification maintenance with Ontario medical laboratory bodies
• Proven skills in cell morphology and laboratory operations
• Dedication to ongoing learning and expertise development
