Are you an

Electrical Engineer with adequate experience in electronic systems and power distribution? This 6-month role with chances of extension maybe a good fit for you.

The Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics is responsible for the design, development, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of power electronic systems and electrical power distribution solutions.

This role combines electrical engineering expertise with hands-on laboratory testing, product verification, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure products meet performance, safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

The engineer will support all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept development through testing, validation, deployment, and continuous improvement.

Advantages Contract: 6 months with potential to extend This role is focused on electrical engineering with in power electronics- must have EE degree and skills with testing tools in a lab environment.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Power Electronics Design & Development Design and develop power electronic systems, converters, inverters, rectifiers, UPS systems, battery energy storage interfaces, and power distribution equipment.

Generate and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and system documentation.

Perform electrical calculations, component selection, and design verification activities.

Support design optimization activities to improve reliability, efficiency, manufacturability, and product performance.

Ensure compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Electrical Testing & Validation Develop and execute validation plans, verification procedures, and qualification testing for power electronic systems.

Create complex test methods and test protocols to evaluate electrical performance and product reliability.

Conduct functional, environmental, electrical, thermal, and performance testing.

Design and develop test fixtures and automated test setups.

Analyze test data and prepare technical reports documenting findings and recommendations.





Verify product performance against specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.

Support root cause investigations and corrective action implementation for electrical failures and quality concerns.

Commissioning & Troubleshooting Perform commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and field support activities.

Diagnose electrical, power electronic, and control system failures.

Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify performance issues and optimize system operation.

Collaborate with field service, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Support customer acceptance testing and factory acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).

Project & Technical Leadership Lead engineering tasks from concept through deployment.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including design, software, controls, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering.

Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans.

Participate in design reviews, technical audits, and product improvement initiatives.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Power Testing Tools & Equipment (Required Experience) Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor''s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.

Master''s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related engineering discipline preferred.

Qualified Engineer (P.

Eng.) designation or eligibility considered an asset. 3+ years of experience in power electronics, electrical design, testing, validation, or power systems engineering.

Experience working in laboratory, manufacturing, R&D;, utility, industrial, renewable energy, or power distribution environments.
