Job Summary

The cook is responsible to produce all assigned prep items in an effective and consistent manner while following instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals in a rapid-paced workplace. The cook is able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.





Key Responsibilities
Prepare food according to menu and portion standards in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Ensure food is prepared to quality and presentation standards consistently and served in a timely manner
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
Follow health and safety guidelines and food handling procedures
Handle multiple food orders simultaneously during busy hours
Store food properly and ensure freshness and proper rotation (FIFO) - First In, First Out order by labelling food items with the dates and put the older foods in front or on top so that you use them first.
