Role Name: Mainframe Application Support Engineer Location: Toronto 4 days a week on site F2F interview might be required We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Support Engineer to provide production support, incident management, and application maintenance for critical mainframe-based business applications.

The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies involving IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM and CICS, troubleshooting production issues, ensuring application stability, and driving continuous service improvements.

The role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, business, and operations teams to support mission-critical applications while maintaining agreed service levels.





Key Responsibilities Production Support & Incident Management Provide L2/L3 support for mainframe applications in production environments.

Investigate, analyze, and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.

Support critical business events, release deployments, and production changes.

Application Maintenance Analyze application failures and identify corrective actions.

Coordinate with development teams for defect fixes and enhancements.

Validate fixes and support deployment activities.

Ensure application availability, reliability, and performance.
