This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic, relationship-focused leader to guide a highly respected nonprofit organization that has been serving children, families, and communities across north London and Middlesex County for more than 50 years. Whitehills Childcare Association is entering an exciting new chapter as it prepares for the retirement of its long-serving Executive Director and looks toward the future of early learning, childcare, family services, and community impact.

As Executive Director, you will serve as the chief executive leader of a multi-site organization with a strong operational foundation, an experienced leadership team, and an outstanding reputation among families, community partners, school boards, funders, and sector stakeholders. Your mandate is to build upon the organization’s strengths while providing strategic leadership in governance, community engagement, advocacy, organizational sustainability, workforce development, and modernization.

We're looking for a leader who can:
Develop and execute long-term organizational strategy
Continue to strengthen partnerships with funders, key partners, community organizations, and the community
Support effective governance and Board relations
Foster a collaborative, values-driven workplace culture
Champion workforce development, employee engagement, and leadership succession
Represent Whitehills as a respected voice and strong advocate within the early years and childcare sector
Lead thoughtful change while preserving the organization's strong culture and child-centred philosophy

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate is a strategic and future-focused executive who leads with both head and heart. You are a trusted relationship builder, collaborative problem-solver, community ambassador, and people-centred leader who understands the importance of strong partnerships, sustainable growth, and mission-driven leadership.




7 – 10 years progressive senior leadership experience in childcare, early years, education, community and family services, or another mission-driven organization
Experience in leading complex, multi-site organizations
University degree in a relevant discipline (graduate degree an asset)
Knowledge of the childcare, early years, nonprofit, or broader human services sector
Experience working closely with a Board of Directors and supporting effective governance
Proven success leading strategic planning, organizational growth, and change initiatives
Strong partnership-building, stakeholder engagement, and community leadership skills
Financial oversight and organizational sustainability experience
