The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is hiring for a tenure-track Associate Professor in the IKERAS faculty. Candidates must hold a PhD in Indigenous Studies or a related area with significant Indigenous focus. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both research and community-focused education.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct impactful research in Indigenous knowledge areas • Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses effectively • Foster relationships within Indigenous communities • Participate in faculty service and outreach activities • Enhance the curriculum with experiential learning approaches
Requirements: • PhD in Indigenous or related studies • Outstanding teaching and research performance • Experience working with Indigenous communities • Capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration • Verification of Indigenous status as part of hiring
