About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chair for its Board of Directors, a pivotal role in shaping the future of mental health in the country. The successful candidate will lead a distinguished Board, providing strategic governance, and ensuring organizational excellence.
This leadership position demands a respected and collaborative individual with significant board governance experience, capable of building consensus among diverse partners and stakeholders. The Chair will work in partnership with the President and CEO to foster a culture of integrity, inclusion, and accountability, and to support the organization's national leadership and impact.
A deep commitment to the public interest, reconciliation, and a positive understanding of the evolving mental health landscape in Canada are essential.
Conversational fluency in both English and French is required.
As the Chair, you will be at the forefront of a national catalyst for change, driving the advancement of better mental health outcomes for all Canadians. The role is not just about governance; it is about being a key player in the transformation of the national conversation on mental health and in fostering tangible improvements across systems, workplaces, and communities.
The ideal candidate will have a diverse background, with experience in charitable, government, healthcare, FNIM, academic, business, or non-profit sectors, and a proven ability to lead with strategic vision and sound judgment.
