Our family requires dedicated and conscientious care assistant to work with our two disabled wheelchair bound young adult sons in a private home setting within the city of Lethbridge. We are seeking a caring, compassionate and fun loving individuals who enjoy interacting with disabled persons and assisting them with their daily living activities and outings into the community. Candidate must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our sons with high quality care and support. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team. The job is about 30% work and 70% doing stuff, going places, and hanging out with our sons. Responsibilities & Duties -Assist with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating etc… -Administration of medications (oral)
and performing G-tube feeding and care. -Perform light housekeeping tasks, such changing bed linens and laundry. -Assist in the secure lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement. -Accompany and transport our sons to activities, and outings as needed, such as swimming, bowling, shopping etc…(Vehicle provided) Qualifications and Skills -Non-GDL Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record. -Excellent interpersonal skills. -Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures. Other Information -Full Training is provided -This is a permanent full-time day shift position (40 hrs/week) but part-time is a consideration for the right candidate. -Starting wage of $20-22/hr Applicants are asked to just email a resume.
