Small Engine Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician/Automotive Join a Team That’s Been Powering the Industry for Decades We are a well-established Outdoor Power Equipment dealership with a long-standing reputation for quality service, industry expertise, and strong customer relationships. For years, our team has supported contractors, landscapers, municipalities, and homeowners with dependable equipment and professional service. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Small Engine / Heavy Equipment Technician to join our service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive, knowledgeable, and team-oriented environment. Our shop is equipped with up-to-date lifts, specialty tools, and manufacturer support, allowing our technicians to focus on what they do best—diagnosing and repairing equipment efficiently and professionally. What You’ll Work On Our technicians service a wide variety of equipment used in landscaping, construction, and snow & ice management, including: Lawnmowers and commercial turf equipment Installation and repairs of Snowplows and salt/sand spreaders Chainsaws and cut-off saws Trimmers, blowers, and handheld power equipment Generators and water pumps Construction and landscaping machinery Equipment powered by 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines Key Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of outdoor power and construction equipment Perform preventative maintenance and detailed equipment inspections Utilize company-provided lifts, specialty tools, and diagnostic equipment Maintain an organized,



efficient workspace within the shop Attend manufacturer training and service schools to stay current with industry technology Work closely with fellow technicians and service advisors to deliver excellent customer service What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with small engines or related equipment Strong knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engine diagnostics and repair Experience with commercial landscaping equipment, construction equipment, snowplows, or spreaders is highly valued Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and engine issues efficiently Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for company vehicle use) Must own and maintain a complete set of personal technician tools What Makes You a Great Fit Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Self-motivated with strong diagnostic ability Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-focused shop environment Willingness to learn new equipment platforms and repair techniques Manufacturer certifications are considered an asset What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience and certifications Ongoing manufacturer training and skill development A well-equipped shop with the right tools and support A stable, long-term career opportunity with an established dealership A team-oriented workplace where technicians support each other and take pride in the work they do If you are an experienced technician who enjoys working on a variety of equipment and wants to be part of a respected, long-standing dealership with a strong team culture, we’d love to hear from you.
