As the Director, AI Wealth Enablement you will be responsible for enabling the effective, responsible, and value driven adoption of Artificial Intelligence in support AI use case implementation within the Wealth business. This role partners with business leaders to identify, shape, and validate AI opportunities, translating business needs into clear AI use cases. Also working closely with Technology to ensure solutions are feasible, prioritized, and deliver measurable value. A key component of the role will be engaging with Advisors directly to gather feedback on use cases and educate on AI capabilities. The Director will operate as an enabler and will partner with leaders in all functional areas to accelerate the business strategy using AI – this includes opportunity identification, business case development, prioritization, and value realization. Success in this role will be measured by AI driven value realization across Wealth, which will be achieved through influence, strong stakeholder relationships, and a deep understanding of both business outcomes and AI capabilitiesWhat you will do:
Partner with functional leaders to identify high value opportunities where AI can improve outcomes and efficiency as related to advisor experience, dealer processes, compliance needs, and other wealth opportunitiesWork with business leaders to unpack and shape AI business cases, clarifying the problem to solve, expected benefits, risks, and success measures before solutions are pursuedEstablish channels to engage directly with advisors;
gather feedback to formas requirements to solve advisor productivity and complexity issues using AI, while also being an advocate for existing and emerging AI capabilities that advisors should be adoptingAs part of business architecture align with existing mandate to translate business needs into clear AI use cases and requirements, partnering with technology, data, and architecture teams to prioritize, assess feasibility,
and alignment to enterprise AI capabilities and standardsBuild AI literacy and proficiency across leadership teams by sharing insights, patterns, and practical examples of what is working, and what is not, across the organizationMeasure and track value realization from use casesChampion responsible AI practices, ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and ethical standardsStay current on AI trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offeringsWhat you will bring:
Deep understanding of AI capabilities and limitations (including generative AI, automation, analytics, and machine learning) and how they apply in regulated environments such as financial service, inclusive of wealthStrong ability to bridge business strategy and technology, translating business problems into actionable AI opportunities and explaining AI concepts in clear, practical termsExperience with engaging stakeholders in the field;
advisors, and/or advisor support teamsDemonstrated experience developing, assessing, and prioritizing business cases, including benefits realization and outcome measurementDemonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive cross-functional outcomes across business and technology stakeholdersExceptional stakeholder leadership and partnership skills, with confidence engaging senior business, compliance, and technology leadersStrong judgment and systems thinking, balancing innovation with risk, governance, and long-term sustainabilityExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPassion for innovation, with a track record of challenging the status quo and embracing change in AI adoptionLearning mindset with ability to experiment, embrace learnings, and pivot quicklyGrow with Canada Life
