- Nipissing District Youth Centre- Part of the Education and Community Partnership Program (ECPP).

Required Teaching Qualifications

- A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers

- Junior, Intermediate and Senior Qualifications

- Special Education Specialist or (Part 2 with evidence of working toward Specialist)

Position Criteria

- Demonstrate strong evidence of trauma informed practices within an educational setting and working with students with trauma considered an asset.

- Demonstrate evidence of working with a multi-faceted team supporting students in their school readiness skills along with behaviour management and therapeutic programming

- Demonstrate experience with Plans of Care, Behaviour Management Plan and transition plans.





- Proven ability supporting students with high behavioural needs and evidence of mindfulness strategies

- Demonstrate robust evidence of proven ability utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners

- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment Strategies
