Toronto Metropolitan University is reshaping the downtown core of Toronto with three recent buildings: the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, the Toronto Metropolitan University Image Centre in the heart of campus, and a Student Learning Centre on Yonge Street. In addition, currently in progress is the development of a new multipurpose building, the Church Street development (CSD).



This new building will be located just north of Dundas on Church Street and will be home to four academic health services programs, Toronto Met.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience:

- Undergraduate/graduate training in critical disability, children and mental health, Black or Indigenous Studies
- Working knowledge of disability justice, principles and practice
- Teaching Assistant experience at the university level
- Supports students in developing proficiency in disability studies, Deaf, mad studies concepts
- Facilitation of discussion forums, including guiding students in ensuring their contributions meet

accessibility standards

Salary & Compensation

September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027 Academic Assistants Undergrad - $40.56 per hour

Candidates hired for in-person courses will be required to carry out their teaching and/or other duties on campus.
